Typical alloys: - **C44300 admiralty brass** and **C70600 copper-nickel** for cooling water bundles. Our first refinery order was 12,000 admiralty tubes; we have not stopped since. - **SA179** carbon steel, stocked in Hillsboro, for the majority of shell-and-tube bundles. - **SA213 T5, T9, T11, T22** for heater tubes and hot process exchangers. - **TP304L, TP316L, TP321, TP347** stainless for corrosive process streams and high temperature. - **SA789 duplex** where cooling water chlorides have cracked 316L. - **Alloy 825, Monel 400, C-276** for HF alkylation, sour water, amine, and acid service. ## Gas processing and compression Compressor skid coolers and gas-to-gas exchangers on wellhead compressors, gas plants, and pipelines. C70600 copper-nickel for the smaller water-cooled units, SA179 and stainless for the rest. ## Artificial lift Ameritube supplies seamless tube for sucker rod pump barrels in the metallurgies the API 11AX pump shops specify: carbon steel for chrome plating, brass and admiralty for corrosive wells, stainless and Monel for the worst of them. Barrel tube is held to the ID straightness and wall tolerance that plating and honing require.
