It is supplied from qualified domestic and international mills, then received, inspected, tested, and released under our ISO 9001:2015 system in Hillsboro, Texas, with a full mill test report. ## What SA213 T12 is T12 is a 1Cr-1/2Mo ferritic alloy steel. Compared with T11 it carries less silicon and a slightly lower chromium range, which some OEMs prefer for weldability and bend performance. Its creep strength and temperature limits are essentially the same as T11. ## Chemical composition | Element | Requirement | | --- | --- | | Carbon | 0.05 to 0.15% | | Manganese | 0.30 to 0.61% | | Silicon | 0.50% max | | Chromium | 0.80 to 1.25% | | Molybdenum | 0.44 to 0.65% | | Phosphorus / Sulfur | 0.025% max each | ## Mechanical properties | Property | Minimum | | --- | --- | | Tensile strength | 60,000 psi (415 MPa) | | Yield strength | 32,000 psi (220 MPa) | | Elongation in 2" | 30% | | Hardness | 85 HRB max | ## Where it is used Superheaters, reheaters, economizers, and headers in utility and industrial boilers, and in HRSGs behind gas turbines. Also seen in refinery convection sections and high-temperature process exchangers. ## Substitution Many specifications allow T11 and T12 interchangeably, but not all. Tell us what the drawing calls for and whether an alternate is acceptable, and we will quote accordingly. **What to put in your SA213 T12 RFQ** OD, minimum wall, length, quantity, heat treatment condition, and the OEM or utility specification.
