# ISO 9001:2015. Audited by Bureau Veritas, and by our customers.

Ameritube's quality system was built by customer request in 2012 and has been audited by Bureau Veritas, refineries, shipyards, and the US government ever since. It covers how we quote, buy, make, test, and ship. The certificate, the quality manual, and the procedures are available to any customer who asks.

## The system

Ameritube holds ISO 9001:2015 certification from Bureau Veritas for the manufacture of seamless tubing, first certified in 2012 and recertified on a three-year cycle. The system is documented in Quality Manual QM-001 and a set of quality management system procedures (QMS-003 through QMS-011) covering document control, purchasing, calibration, nonconformance, corrective action, and training.

Below the QMS procedures sit the standard operating procedures for every piece of equipment and every test. Personnel are trained and qualified to them. Equipment is calibrated on schedule, internally and through certified third-party labs.

## Three inspection gates

**Receiving inspection, SOP-1001.** Every incoming lot, whether raw copper for our furnace or finished stainless tube for distribution, is checked against the purchase order and the specification: identification, quantity, dimensions, chemistry certification, and visual condition. Nothing enters stock unreleased.

**In-process inspection.** Each job carries a traveler from melt through final test. Operators record dimensions, temper, and test results at each step, and material batch, bundle, and annealing lot numbers are allocated and tracked per SOP-301. Yield is tracked by job so problems show up as numbers, not surprises.

**Final inspection, SOP-600.** Finished tube is inspected for dimensions, surface, straightness, cleanliness, and marking, and the test results are compiled onto the mill test report. Only then is it packed and released.

## Testing capability

- 100% eddy current on all tube
- Hydrostatic and pneumatic (air under water) pressure testing
- Ammonia vapor test for residual stress, SOP-200
- Ultrasonic testing, in-house and through third parties, including customer-witnessed ID eddy current on copper-nickel
- Tensile, hardness, flare, flatten, expansion, and reverse bend
- Microstructure and grain size, SOP-400
- Dimensional inspection with calibrated micrometers, gauges, and bore gauges

Non-destructive testing is performed by Level II certified operators.

## What you receive

A mill test report with heat number, chemical analysis, mechanical properties, heat treatment, NDT results, and the specification the tube was certified to. Certificates of conformance, DFARS and country-of-origin statements, and customer-specific formats on request.
