# A domestic source of C12200 copper tube for data center cooling.

A leading data center customer needed a dependable, domestic source of C12200 copper tubing for its cooling systems. Ameritube qualified as the supplier and has shipped every month for three years.

## The requirement

- A domestic source for straight-length C12200 tubing, so the customer was not exposed to import lead times.
- Consistent quality across multiple sizes and tempers, hard H85 and soft annealed.
- Full traceability, testing, and documentation, first for qualification and then on every recurring order.

## What Ameritube did

1. Sourced and released raw hollows against the customer specification.
2. Pilgered and drew each part number to size in Hillsboro.
3. Annealed the soft part numbers, straightened and finished the rest.
4. Eddy current, dimensional, and mechanical testing on every lot, hydrostatic on request.
5. Issued MTRs and the PPAP documentation package.
6. Packaged and shipped on the customer's monthly schedule.

C12200 melting and casting came in-house in 2025, so new C12200 programs can now start from copper melted in Hillsboro as well.
