- Copper plumbing tube to ASTM B88 Types K, L, and M, NSF/ANSI 61 certified for potable water and NSF/ANSI 372 lead-free.
- Condenser tube to ASTM B111 in C12200, C44300, and C70600 for large chillers and cooling tower condensers.
- Custom sizes from 1/4" to 2-1/2" OD, .020" to .109" wall, with the mill test report to prove it.
Made in USA, and it matters
The American Iron and Steel provision, Build America Buy America, and Buy American Act clauses increasingly require that copper for water infrastructure be melted and manufactured domestically, not just drawn from imported shells. Ameritube casts its own copper in Hillsboro. If your bid needs a domestic melt certification, we can supply it.
Why copper still wins for drinking water
- It is antimicrobial. Copper surfaces kill bacteria on contact and do not support biofilm growth the way plastics do.
- It does not degrade. No plasticizers to leach, no permeation by hydrocarbons, no embrittlement under UV or heat.
- It lasts. A properly installed copper system outlives the building and is fully recyclable afterward.
